Well summer is finally here and the Striper action is just like the weather, HOT! We fished the afternoon incoming tide and we hammered them today. Friend Dick and I caught more than a dozen stripers (we missed at least that many as well) in less than 3 hours, none over 40" and most around 38" with a few slots mixed in. What a day, lots of bait, several tinkers really did the trick, but the big ones went for big bait, dead or alive. We even used a few small pollock and they did the trick as well. I even chunked some macks and they worked! Just one of those days where the tide, wind, bait and Stripers all came together.
